Fire Reinstatement: Norbury Park House

Grade II* privately owned home, originally built by William Locke in 1774 and designed by Thomas Sandby, a leading architect of the time.  The ground floor 'painted room' retains wall and ceiling paintings from this time, by Ciprianic, Gilpin and Pastorini.

In March 2005, fire broke out in a first floor bathroom leading to substantial fire and water damage in the west wing and smoke damage throughout.
